British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, officials in Lagos stated on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on December 29th, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.
“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.
Remembering the Victims
The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the loss of his two trusted companions.”
His release from the hospital comes as the global fight fans offered sympathy for the fighter in the wake of the terrible crash.
